Nap Time Mystery

Yesterday Tatton woke up from his nap, came out to the hall and this is what I saw:

So a few things. He hasn't really gotten to the phase of dressing or undressing himself so I was very surprised to see a. his undies off b. his shorts once removed and back on and c. his shorts on backwards. As you can tell by the picture he was very upset by the whole situation but I couldn't stop laughing.

Today's events weren't so funny at nap time. I went down to make sure Tatton was covered up after he'd been asleep for a bit and saw that he wasn't in his bed. He has a little tent/play hut in his room so I figured that's where he was. Sure enough Tatton was in his tent on top of his blanket asleep with poop in his pants. Needless to say his tent stunk. a lot.

Where's Tatton?

Yesterday Tatton decided to go hide without me knowing. I was changing Lincoln's bum and putting him down for a nap when I realized it was suspiciously quiet. So I started calling for Tatton briefly walking by all the rooms, through the kitchen and living room. Silence. Went down to his room. Nothing. So then a bit of panick kicked in. Tatton likes to hide in the closet but sometimes once inside he can't get the door open again. So I checked there but no Tatton to be seen. I checked the front and back doors which have child proof knobs on them but I thought maybe yesterday was the day he figured them out. But no, the doors were still closed. I started walking in every room very carefully now and finally heard a little giggle from the bathroom. At first glance, there's not really anywhere to hide in the bathroom right? Wrong, there's always the good old shower to hide in... and drink apple juice in.

A few pictures from today. I think I had the same idea as just about every other Mom in Morgan. Finally a sunny, warm day=take the kids to the park. Call me unsocial but the first one we went to was ridiculously crowded. So we drove around until we found a park that didn't have massive amounts of people.

This little gem of a picture was taken while I was trying to make grilled cheese sandwhiches. I thought I got the cheese out but when I went to slice some, I couldn't find it. Then I realized why. Apparently he was too hungry to wait.

Out and About

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. I know we did. Tatton was quite excited for the Easter Bunny this year. Aaron and I enjoyed conference but we honestly weren't able to pay too much attention with the rugrats in our house. So we'll be catching up when the Ensign comes out! We went to Gold Family and Tatton Family festivities and it was SO nice to get out of the house, see the sun, get some fresh air. Trying to stay home all day everyday to keep the baby in is actually really hard. Especially when you have an energetic 2 year old and it's almost necessary to get out and go do something. So needless to say we enjoyed our Sunday out!

Tatton coloring... and eating some easter eggs. I think he cracked and ate more eggs than he colored.

For the Easter Bunny
I'm not sure what the scowl is for, but he did actually like the little basketball.

Lincoln's 1st Easter. He probably would have fit in his basket!
Tatton and Ty. Tatton LOVES playing with his cousin Ty. Sadly I'm not sure why he was handcuffed though?

The Easter Bunny Trail at my Mom's house. Oddly enough this was all my Dad's doing. He put some thought and time into this.

Last week we were having a rough day. Tatton was bouncing off the walls and so I decided to take action and get out of the house. We went to the Hill Aerospace Museum. Tatton loves to see the airplanes and helicopters. We had a lot of fun.
Getting to sit in an airplane chair. Lincoln kind of just looks like the 3rd wheel over there in the stroller. Tatton was really cute, he kept trying to point and show Lincoln the airplanes.

Tatton climbing around in the airplane. Good times.

Mommy of Two

Here are some pictures from the past few weeks. Those two little boys keep me busy. It's been a lot of fun to have a baby in our home again! I'm definitely learning how to live life with two kids now. Life with Tatton was pretty easy thinking about it now. But putting Lincoln's schedule in with it has been a big change for me and Tatton. I'm learning how to do things all over again. Tatton loves his little brother, he loves to kiss him and hug him... and poke and pinch him. Hopefully that will wear off. Lincoln is seeming to be a little less fussy these days, and he's starting to sleep a little better at night. There have been some nearly sleepless nights and many tears shed in the previous weeks but I think it's getting better. I've felt completely overwhelmed at times with an active, busy body 2 year old running around and a crying baby. But the fun times have definitely outweighed the stressfull moments. Tatton has gotten so big and 2 years have really flown by so I know Lincoln will be growing up before we know it. I wish they could stay little, but yet I'm excited when they can play together, take baths together, share bunk beds, run around with each other... all of that fun brother stuff!
