Little A and Lincoln

What a busy weekend we had! On Friday night Aaron and Tatton participated in their first "Father and Son Campout" with the ward for the Priesthood Commemoration. So Tatton and Aaron packed up the tent and sleeping bags and headed out. I must say that I was not going to be surprised if at 11 o'clock at night they walked back in the door, but they never did. They survived the night. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall of that tent to really see how that went. But they had a lot of fun and Tatton was so excited to go camping! Then Saturday morning our Young Women had a Girls Camp Fundraiser Breakfast, held at the park where all the boys were sleeping in their tents. So bright and early we had to go set up to cook breakfast... especially for all those boys. The girls had a lot of fun and we had a good turn out to support them and earn money for camp! After all the cleaning up of the breakfast then we met up with our friends Natalie and Sheldon and headed to the Zoo! It was finally a warm Saturday so we took advantage of it. Tatton was so excited to see Zuri, the baby elephant. She is pretty cute and still really small. I thought she'd be bigger by now but anyway. Then Sunday we got to visit with Lauren and finally see Little Adalynn for the first time! She is a cutie, it's fun to have little babies the same age. Her and Lincoln are about 5 weeks apart.

On the way to the Zoo... Tatton put his own stunna shades on.

Poor Lincoln, he's not old enough yet to know what's going on... why he's being carried around in the sun drinking from a bottle with a ton of different noises. He was a trooper though.

Sheldon was excited for the Zoo.

And finally the two little babies. I love the distinction between girl and boy in these pictures. They could not have been decked out in more pink and blue. They are both smiling at their own Mommies, how cute is that!

I had to get a picture of the legs, sorry Lauren! They were just too irresistible.

What a Poopy Day...

CAUTION: You may not want to read this post or view the pictures if you've got a weak stomache.

Tatton's nap time again turned into one of, what I like to call, Tatton's Shenanigan #763. He was all tucked in bed and had been quiet in his room for about 20 minutes so I peeked in to make sure he was covered up for his nap. But to my dismay he wasn't asleep sound in his bed. Instead he was painting himself with his own feces. Of course I was extremely upset, but I had to grab the camera first to capture the evidence for Aaron when he got home. Then I began the bathing and cleaning festivities. Might I say that Resolve carpet cleaner works very well, and I'm a big fan of Shout stain remover.

This was the official crime scene.

And this is Tatton now wanting to take a bath. He was saying it was stinky and gross but why that didn't stop him earlier is beyond me.

Missing: Thomas the Train

This picture really says it all. Yesterday Tatton could not find his Thomas the Train and he was quite heartbroken about it. We looked everywhere, literally. I mean I searched the house up and down trying to find it. So I made him a little "missing" poster to put on the fridge so that when Aaron got home he could help look for it too.

Tatton decided he wanted to wear the poster instead of putting it on the fridge. That didn't work so well. Anyway so we got the poster on the fridge and I continued looking for his train. Finally about an hour later I went over to close the blinds and noticed these guys hiding behind a picture.
I immediately remembered Tatton playing with his trains behind the picture the day before and that's where he left them. Needless to say it was a joyous reunion with his Thomas the Train toys.

In Uncle Lewis' Voice... "the BLESSING!"

Lincoln was blessed last Sunday. No we didn't plan to have it on Mother's Day. Our stake ended up having Stake Conference the first Sunday in May, and so fast sunday fell on Mother's Day. We thought about doing it in June instead, but his little tux would NOT fit at all by then. It was a wonderful day surrounded by family. Lincoln was a trooper and didn't make a peep during the blessing. Tatton on the other hand threw a HUGE fit that Daddy left and Papa left. He was rolling in the aisle, diving under benches, screaming, crying for Papa. It was awful. Aaron sat down after the blessing and asked how he did and all I could do was shrug. I hardly heard a word of what we said. I was really sad, but he filled me in, and our family told me he did a good job so that's all that matters. Still a good day in our book. Lincoln has been starting to smile the past two weeks or so but I never catch it on the camera in time. I caught a little bit of this one though!

All four of us after church. It was blazing hot in our church and Tatton has the "Tatton" red face when he gets warm.
Lincoln before church with a bit of a smirk on his face.
I love having a husband who works at a greenhouse. Yay flowers! Tatton felt the need to water them on Saturday with rubber boots and all.
About two weeks ago I was feeding Lincoln on the couch and thought Tatton was down in his room playing. I was severely mistaken. This is what I discovered when I went to change Lincoln's diaper. No more baby powder, Tatton emptied the entire bottle. It doesn't look like a whole lot, but that powder is like an inch deep on the floor. Good times...

Randy (one of many brothers) came up a few weeks ago with the kids for the weekend. Tatton and Troy are 3 months apart and they had a lot of fun together. They discovered jumping off the rock fireplace much to Papa's dismay.
This was prior to our bbq, Tatton and Troy were apparently starving because they were tanking down crackers and grapes. I wish I had filmed it because neither one of them were talking, nor did they look at each other. It was strictly eating business going on.

Nap Time Mystery

Yesterday Tatton woke up from his nap, came out to the hall and this is what I saw:

So a few things. He hasn't really gotten to the phase of dressing or undressing himself so I was very surprised to see a. his undies off b. his shorts once removed and back on and c. his shorts on backwards. As you can tell by the picture he was very upset by the whole situation but I couldn't stop laughing.

Today's events weren't so funny at nap time. I went down to make sure Tatton was covered up after he'd been asleep for a bit and saw that he wasn't in his bed. He has a little tent/play hut in his room so I figured that's where he was. Sure enough Tatton was in his tent on top of his blanket asleep with poop in his pants. Needless to say his tent stunk. a lot.

Where's Tatton?

Yesterday Tatton decided to go hide without me knowing. I was changing Lincoln's bum and putting him down for a nap when I realized it was suspiciously quiet. So I started calling for Tatton briefly walking by all the rooms, through the kitchen and living room. Silence. Went down to his room. Nothing. So then a bit of panick kicked in. Tatton likes to hide in the closet but sometimes once inside he can't get the door open again. So I checked there but no Tatton to be seen. I checked the front and back doors which have child proof knobs on them but I thought maybe yesterday was the day he figured them out. But no, the doors were still closed. I started walking in every room very carefully now and finally heard a little giggle from the bathroom. At first glance, there's not really anywhere to hide in the bathroom right? Wrong, there's always the good old shower to hide in... and drink apple juice in.

A few pictures from today. I think I had the same idea as just about every other Mom in Morgan. Finally a sunny, warm day=take the kids to the park. Call me unsocial but the first one we went to was ridiculously crowded. So we drove around until we found a park that didn't have massive amounts of people.

This little gem of a picture was taken while I was trying to make grilled cheese sandwhiches. I thought I got the cheese out but when I went to slice some, I couldn't find it. Then I realized why. Apparently he was too hungry to wait.

Out and About

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. I know we did. Tatton was quite excited for the Easter Bunny this year. Aaron and I enjoyed conference but we honestly weren't able to pay too much attention with the rugrats in our house. So we'll be catching up when the Ensign comes out! We went to Gold Family and Tatton Family festivities and it was SO nice to get out of the house, see the sun, get some fresh air. Trying to stay home all day everyday to keep the baby in is actually really hard. Especially when you have an energetic 2 year old and it's almost necessary to get out and go do something. So needless to say we enjoyed our Sunday out!

Tatton coloring... and eating some easter eggs. I think he cracked and ate more eggs than he colored.

For the Easter Bunny
I'm not sure what the scowl is for, but he did actually like the little basketball.

Lincoln's 1st Easter. He probably would have fit in his basket!
Tatton and Ty. Tatton LOVES playing with his cousin Ty. Sadly I'm not sure why he was handcuffed though?

The Easter Bunny Trail at my Mom's house. Oddly enough this was all my Dad's doing. He put some thought and time into this.

Last week we were having a rough day. Tatton was bouncing off the walls and so I decided to take action and get out of the house. We went to the Hill Aerospace Museum. Tatton loves to see the airplanes and helicopters. We had a lot of fun.
Getting to sit in an airplane chair. Lincoln kind of just looks like the 3rd wheel over there in the stroller. Tatton was really cute, he kept trying to point and show Lincoln the airplanes.

Tatton climbing around in the airplane. Good times.

Mommy of Two

Here are some pictures from the past few weeks. Those two little boys keep me busy. It's been a lot of fun to have a baby in our home again! I'm definitely learning how to live life with two kids now. Life with Tatton was pretty easy thinking about it now. But putting Lincoln's schedule in with it has been a big change for me and Tatton. I'm learning how to do things all over again. Tatton loves his little brother, he loves to kiss him and hug him... and poke and pinch him. Hopefully that will wear off. Lincoln is seeming to be a little less fussy these days, and he's starting to sleep a little better at night. There have been some nearly sleepless nights and many tears shed in the previous weeks but I think it's getting better. I've felt completely overwhelmed at times with an active, busy body 2 year old running around and a crying baby. But the fun times have definitely outweighed the stressfull moments. Tatton has gotten so big and 2 years have really flown by so I know Lincoln will be growing up before we know it. I wish they could stay little, but yet I'm excited when they can play together, take baths together, share bunk beds, run around with each other... all of that fun brother stuff!

Lincoln's here... surprise!

Our little guy came to our family on Friday March 12th at 3:11 pm. Lincoln Henry weighed 8 lb 3 oz, and was 21 in long. Surprised? We were too! We actually had plans to go to Bear Lake over the weekend, one last little family vacation with the 3 of us, but we ended up getting our baby instead! Thursday I had been having contractions but nothing major, then during the night they kept coming but they weren't painful. Then at about 5am they started getting pretty regular and some pain. So Aaron kept asking me are we having a baby today or are we going to Bear Lake?? After 2 hours of showering, cleaning, packing a bag for Tatton and packing our hospital bag we dropped Tatton off with Aaron's sister and we went to the hospital. They monitored me for hours and I thought for sure they were going to send me home since they weren't painful and I wasn't progressing. But the contractions just kept coming and my Dr didn't want me to progress too much anyway with having a c-section. So by 2 in the afternoon it was official that we'd be having our baby soon, we were in line for surgery. It was kind of crazy, we really didn't think we'd end up having our little guy on Friday, but we did! Lincoln is just the spitting image of Tatton. He is just a happy little sleeper and eater and we love having him here. Tatton has been such a good big brother and loves giving Lincoln kisses. We're finally home and it's so nice just to relax and cuddle with Lincoln. I've completely forgot how litttle they are and how much they just sleep. I love to just hold him and watch his face, he's just adorable. My mom has Tatton at her house for a few days so that I can recover and I have to say I feel a little guilty but it's so nice. Here are some pictures from the last few days.

My Day So Far...

1. Mail package at Post Office. End up paying for package and an unused large, torn shipping envelope due to Tatton...
2. Registration at DMV (yes, we finally got a car, but that's a different story). Try and clean up smashed Smarties all over the floor from Tatton and apologize a million times for Tatton pulling a computer plug out of the wall.
3. After going potty at the grocery store Tatton decided last second to throw in his sticker down the toilet which at first he thought was funny, but later realized was not so funny since it was gone and threw a fit.
4. While fixing lunch Tatton proceeded to take off his pants and underwear, climb up to the kitchen chair and pee all over it.
5. During my attempt to clean up said urine, Tatton climbed up to the table, grabbed the bottle of Lysol cleaner ad squirted who knows how much into his mouth.
6. After lunch while cleaning up the dishes, Tatton decided to squat in the middle of the living room floor and relieve himself of his poop.

Naptime... check.
Doing absolutely nothing but taking some breather time for myself... check.
