Changes

Time just seems to be just passing by so fast lately.

Tatton is in pre-school. He's only three and most days

when he's running around, naked sometimes, not listening

to his Mom, he is a true, all boy, three year old. But he has grown up

in so many ways lately and I want him to slow down! He has become

more mature, that's not exactly the right word but that's

all I can think of to describe how he's becoming a better big

brother to Lincoln, and he really takes care of Harrison and is

extremely independent these days.

Lincoln has come into his own little person the last few months.

He used to be pretty quite, and so easy going. And he is still

very shy and just does his own thing. But when he gets mad,

usually when it involves his big brother, he can give looks

that kill and he usually finds something to throw in his little

fit of rage. Not that I condone his behavior but I'm glad

that he is coming out of his shell. I love hearing him start to talk.

It's fun to be able to get an idea of what's going on in his little head.

He's so sweet asking "where's tatto? where's tatto?" when

he's gone at school and

saying "hay-hee. hay-hee"(harrison) all the time!

He is everywhere now, I can't believe that just in

June when we went to Disneyland that he was still crawling.

Now that he can walk and run, he

puts right along with Tatton, he just thinks he's as big a boy as him too.

Harrison has grown so much and it kills me that he's not

just a tiny newborn anymore. He has been smiling since day one

and he just grins all day long, even with two big brothers

loving him all day. Shortly after Lincoln was born, I really felt like

we were needing to have another baby soon.

So I stopped breastfeeding Lincoln around 6 mo

because I knew the next baby was supposed to be close to Lincoln.

Aaron and I didn't know what to expect with having 3 boys,

especially when we really had a hard time with Tatton

getting used to Lincoln. Tatton loved Lincoln, there were

sweet moments, but there were more just flat out hit, kick, pinch..

anything moments of sheer dislike with him. It's been

a long road getting those two to a more loving relationship.

Needless to say there was nervousness about bringing another baby

into our family, but we also felt like we were doing the right thing.

And as it turns out, both Tatton and Lincoln l-o-v-e Harrison.

They just adore him, want to hold him constantly, bring

blankets and binkies to him, sing to him all day. Harrison

has truly been such a blessing in our home because

he has brought Tatton and Lincoln together and is somehow

a little peacemaker amongst crazy boys.

Introducing Harrison...

Harrison Arthur is here!

Harrison was born August 2nd at 8:13am.

He weighed 8lb. 3oz. and was 19.5in. long.

Everything went well and we have had so much fun having him here.

I can honestly say that Tatton and Lincoln LOVE their little brother!

Lincoln was a little uncertain at first. He was more interested in

the rocking chair and all the gadgets in the room. But he

finally warmed up and held him.

Tatton was so excited to hold Harrison! He wanted to just do

everything. He's been such a good big brother.

8 Weeks and Counting...

Well I had my 32 week appointment yesterday and I cannot believe I'm down to the 2 week apart appointments now. This pregnancy has flown by, really. My excitement isn't any less, but I think I've just been used to life with 2 boys and going about with a prego belly and then all of the sudden time has snuck up on us! This little guy has been growing like a weed, all my boys have had these ginormous, plump cheeks in their ultrasounds and he has topped them both... and there are still 8 weeks to add to them! He is also weighing 5lb. 9oz. already which puts a little fear in me that he could be a chunk by the time August comes around. I'm hoping he comes a little sooner, but who doesn't always wish for sooner than later? I'm thinking I better start making those birp cloths and blankets I was planning on making when it got closer...

The Sniffer and The Shoes

(Still no internet or pictures, fyi)
I don't know about at your home but I've got some interesting things going on at mine. Tatton has turned into a sniffer... extreme sniffer. He will sniff our breath and demand to know what we were eating, especially if it was chocolate. He sniffs out popcorn a mile away so my Mom has learned that the popcorn needs to be popped after Tatton has been long asleep otherwise that turns into a late night popcorn snack fest. He will come into the kitchen asking what that dinner smell is, or want to know what smell is coming from the microwave. He can smell everything and wants to know what it is because I think he feels shorted if he's not eating it too. Then there are the outdoor smells as well... but that's a whole other story. Then Lincoln lately is OBSESSED with shoes. This poor little guy I think wakes up with his whole day revolved around putting shoes on. He will surprisingly usually just get his on and on the right feet, but as soon as he sees a pair of Tatton's around he has to take his off and work on getting big brothers' on. I would have expected the tantrums he throws when he can't get a shoe on or that the laces aren't tied more from a girl, but no. He can get pretty upset when he gets frustrated with a pair. Needless to say the bending over with the prego belly to pick up endless shoe trails around the house is becoming quite the chore. But oh well, life here would be pretty boring without my little nose detector and shoe thief!

Catch Up

Well to catch you up a bit on our lives lately... we moved back in with Roy and Keebler so that we could save up for Aaron to go back to school this fall. He loves working at the greenhouse and so he's decided to go into Ornamental Horticulture. What is that you may ask? It's basically learning all the ins and outs of the whole growing process of plants, and just all you would want to know about plants and more so he can further his career in the greenhouse business. Anyway, we kinda feel like bums living here and having a third baby, but what can you do. So we're living in the compound and our computer won't connect to the internet for some reason? Obviously I can use my mom and dad's for the internet but all our pictures are on our computer. Hence, I'll have to add pictures later some day when it's all working. In other news Tatton is riding his fine bike that we purchased at the d.i. for $5, Lincoln is SO close to walking and the baby is just growing right along. It's always nice to finally feel the little guy moving around! I'm so glad we've finally had some warm days and the boys smell of sunscreen. I love it! We are itching for summer and hopefully soon I'll be able to post some pictures of our summer adventures!!

And Then There Were Three...

Well, Aaron and I have been dying to let people know that we've got a third little peanut on the way!! I am 14 weeks, which is the longest we've ever waited to spill the news, but we were waiting until we knew if it was a boy or girl this time. So, drum roll please, at my appointment yesterday we found out that it's another little boy! I can't say I'm disappointed by any means, since there is nothing but sheer joy about awaiting for a sweet little baby to come, boy or girl. But we were not surprisingly hoping for a girl this time, hopefully the 4th time will be the charm. My dad actually watched Tatton and Lincoln while Aaron and I were at the appointment yesterday. Afterwards I called my dad to let him know the news because Tatton has been quite determined that he was going to get a baby sister (there was a small fit that followed) But as I told my dad the news he just laughed for a minute, knowing that we were hoping for the opposite, and said, "Well, the world is in great need of good missionaries." And with that I felt a complete change of outlook on my being a mother and raising these soon to be three little missionaries. So although I don't get to buy any pink this go around, we are extremely excited to have a new little guy come into our family. I cannot wait until that special time in the hospital. I so look forward to that mini-vacation in the hospital, kind of like at the temple, there's not interruptions, no stress of daily life at home, it's just me and Aaron spending the most wonderful time with our new baby. Needless to say August 11th can't come soon enough!!

A Little Help!!

I am looking for a wire sewing form like these ones for example:

or even smaller "jewelry" type ones that could sit on a table. I'm decorating for New Beginnings in Young Women's at the end of this month. If you know of anyone nearby that has one that I could borrow, I would greatly appreciate it!! Our theme for the evening is Personal Progress: A Pattern for Life... and we're decorating with sewing stuff just in case you wondering why I'm randomly looking for such an item.

Cutting Back

Yep, we're cutting back in this house.
Apparently we don't need a crib, Lincoln can just sleep on the floor.

And who needs a special stool in the bathroom when you
can just do this instead:

And toys, who needs toys? Certainly not our kids.
Lincoln is now at the crawling, standing up on anything,
going through every drawer and cupboard phase. So
we thought who needs Santa to come and bring toys
when you can just play with everything in the kitchen!
